Darth Malgus was a prominent Sith Lord during the Great Galactic War and the Cold War eras of the Star Wars Old Republic timeline. Born Veradun on the Sith-controlled world of Dromund Kaas, he displayed exceptional strength in the Force from a young age, leading him to be inducted into the Sith Academy.
He quickly rose through the Sith ranks, demonstrating ruthless efficiency and combat prowess. Malgus was known for his aggression and dedication to the Sith cause, believing in the superiority of the Sith and the necessity of conquering the Galactic Republic. He became a formidable warrior, excelling in lightsaber combat and Force techniques.
Malgus played a pivotal role in the Sith's initial successes in the Great Galactic War, most notably leading the attack on the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. This daring strike resulted in the sacking of the Republic capital and the signing of the Treaty of Coruscant, albeit a treaty he viewed as a sign of weakness.
Severely wounded during a battle with Satele Shan, Malgus was fitted with a distinctive respirator and cybernetic enhancements. Despite his injuries, he continued to lead Sith forces, driven by his ambition to overthrow the Emperor and establish a new Sith Order. He was ultimately defeated and killed, but his legacy as a powerful and brutal Sith Lord remains significant.
